When the Reunion Classes of
1940, 1941, 1942, and 1943 organized in 1985, the president expressed concern about our
pictures and artifacts which had been placed in storage at the Martin Luther King Magnet
School. The president pledged that an attempt be made to find a place to house and
restore them for posterity and future viewing. Indeed this has been accomplished
through the cooperation of the now retired executive principal of the Martin Luther King
Magnet School; the former director of the Metropolitan Board of Education; and the current
director of the Metropolitan Board of Education; other school administrators and staff,
who provided the space and helped with the renovation of the Pearl High School Vocational
Building. |
